Workshops in English and Spanish
Teaching materials designed for adults
Our materials are designed with adult learners in mind. Parents are taught through direct instruction, guided activities, and peer-to-peer practice. Our literacy workshops educate, build skills and inspire parents to engage with their children through reading, talking and activities.
Content aligned with curriculum standards
Our content is closely aligned with California Preschool Learning Foundations, Common Core State Standards, and Next Generation Science Standards. Because of this, our workshops reflect and reinforce what children need to learn in school. See how each of our workshops align with curriculum standards. Then, bring our program to your school.
Foundations of Literacy
Foundations of Literacy introduces parents to Ready, Set, Read! and focuses on everyday opportunities to promote language-rich interactions, laying the foundation for future language and literacy development.
Math & Literacy
Math & Literacy introduces parents to math concepts appropriate for their child’s age, including number concepts and quantities, number relationships and operations, geometry and spatial sense, patterns, measurement and comparison. They also learn how to reinforce these concepts through conversation and play.
Science & Literacy
Science & Literacy introduces parents to the three main branches of science that their child will be exposed to in elementary school. They also learn how to increase their child’s scientific literacy through conversation and play.
