OUR MISSION
Ready, Set, Read! promotes early childhood literacy development by training parents to read aloud to their young children.
OUR PROGRAM
Focusing on children aged zero to the age of six, our free programs emphasize the importance of a parent’s role in their child’s literacy development, ongoing academic success, and overall confidence.
WHAT WE DO
To promote literacy and raise self-confidence, Ready, Set, Read! conducts free parent workshops and donates lending libraries to our partner schools.
WHO WE SERVE
We work with socio-economically underserved families at preschools and elementary schools throughout the Los Angeles metro area.
OUR RESULTS
Our program evaluations consistently reflect enthusiasm from teachers, parents and children. We are committed to helping preschool age children and their families discover the joy of reading aloud together as well as preparing them for school through reading readiness.
